Spring has come to the Studio!

Looks like Spring is here. The beginning here in Wilson is marked with pollen from the Longleaf Pine Trees- a layer of yellow pollen coats everything. My black van is now yellow, no sense to clean it till the pollen storm ends. Fred comes in yellow and brown after rolling in the yard.

To those who have not met Fred he is white and red. He is a Beagle/Australian Shepard mix.

I have started seeds in the house for the garden and will be getting other plants at the Wilson Botanical Garden Plant Sale April 12th. Mine are ready to go outdoor but we are supposed to get severe weather Monday night.

Growing Rack in Foyer!

Back to the studio… I have been working on projects started and never finished. I am sure you never have done that! I have a cart of them and want to knock them out, they are a cloud over me till then.

I want to start working on some patterns I have stored for years. Commissions that did not happen but love the pattern, doodles to patterns, etc

I really want to give the studio a deep clean. Maybe May 5-16 when I am on spring break from the colleges. I need to unload old stock and supplies I will never use.

We are going to start making stepping stones- all past and present students for a walkway to my studio, so I can always remember the students who helped make Shangri a reality. I have the template masters made up, now to make blanks for the students.

I hope youo are havig a wonderful Spring and taking time for yourself.
