Wonderful surprise waiting for me at home after work
Today as I was backing out of the driveway I saw my tall grass, almost knee high. My riding mower gave it up two weeks ago. seems John’s transmission was gone. John Deere had an enclosed transmission that can not be repaired but needs replacement. So sad… I loved John. I got to ride him around the yard mowing the lush green grass. Well I went to work and did what I need to do. Meagan called me to ask who was mowing the lawn, like I would know I am at work. It turned out that Tom, my neighbor was mowing it. Meagan baked cookies for him because she felt bad that he did it. When I got home I went over to thank him with a icy cold beer. Thank you Tom, you are my hero.
Lawnmower repair man said mower repair would be about $700 and things might start braking after tha initial repair. So what I am I to do…. repair for $700 or purchase new for $900? Both rip at my heart, hate to spend that money, would rather spend it on something exciting like a vacation. My push mower is getting repaired so maybe I have a new exercise program!
